Rio Mini Blog Hop

Welcome to our RIO Mini Blog Hop!

Do you like or LOVE the Movie Rio/Rio2?  If so, you are in the right place!
Today's hop is sponsored by SvgCuttingFiles and Jaded Blossom, so sit back, relax and enjoy the creations the team has made!

There are only EIGHT stops on this mini hop, so please make sure you follow the GUIDELINES to earn the files being offered up today ONLY!

HOP GUIDELINES

1- FOLLOW all EIGHT (8) blogs in this hop
See side bar for ways to follow
2- COMMENT on all EIGHT stops letting the owner know what you thought of their project!
3- Go to the REQUEST Files link once you have completed these steps at the END of the hop.  Fill the form out correctly and wait for your files to be delivered!

And now for my Project!
I decided to make BLU!  I admit I have not seen this movie but one time so my memory is not great on it..and I have yet to see Rio2..but when I saw Blu in the Pith Helmet, I just KNEW I wanted to make him!
I thought it was funny for him to say It's A Jungle Out there..when he is a tropical bird in the jungle!
So Blu is free for today ONLY...and I placed him on the Palm Tree Wave Tube holder to get the effect that he is in the jungle. I filled the 1 X 6 Plastic Tube with Fruit & Nut Trail Mix.  Stamped a great sentiment from Go Wild on  the Ticket book Die (shortened it slightly).  I wrapped some Midnight Blue Stripe twine aound the base and tied a bow!  Oooh I added the grass border bottom from the Spring Dies!

Fun in the Sun!

Hello everyone and welcome to SVG Cutting Files!
This is Tanya from Studio 5380 and I have a fun, summertime project to share with you today:

Isn't this little guy adorable?

For today's project, I started with the Wider Flat Candy Box.

The adorable sunshine is from the Kawaii Sunshine cutting file and the cute little guy is created with the brand new Waverunner Boy file (available in the SVG Cutting Files store today).
My sentiment is from the Happy Summer stamp set by Jaded Blossom.  The sentiment is stamped onto a banner created by the JB Mini Tag Dies set.

And, you gotta have candy in a candy box...right.....

I put some of these bright Rainbow Twizzlers in a couple of plastic bags and sealed the ends with some happy Washi Tape.  Cute and yummy!
Okay, that's about it for me today. Thanks so much for stopping by - have a wonderful day and I'll be seeing you soon!

Little Sea...

 Little Sea...
When my kids were little bitties,
They would fill their pails with the sea...
Always hoping to catch all the creatures in it...
And this was my inspiration for my project.

I used 3 amazing files from  SVG Cutting Files:

Squaredy Cat Sailor

Hello everyone! This is GiGi from The Cricut Bug and I have a fun treat bag to share. I used the new Squaredy Cat Sailor file for my project today.

These new Squaredy Cats are SO FUN and SO CUTE! I just love the huge array that they offer.
I made this treat bag for my project. I cut the Squaredy Cat Sailor out inked all the edges of the cuts.
I created the topper by using the Jaded Blossom Dainty Topper Die and attached it to a 2.25 X 8 inch Clear Bag and filled it with York Peppermint Patties.
The sentiment tag was cut using the Mini Tag Dies and the sentiment is from the Beep Beep stamps set.
I also made a band for the bottom of the bag by cutting a piece of cardstock with decorative scissors and stamped the images with the Beep Beep Candies stamp set. I used a Copic marker to color in the darker blue and a white gel pen for the white colored in images.

I hope you all enjoyed seeing my project and thanks for visiting!
Have a great day!

I am in love with this new cut file called Banana Boat Girl from SVG Cutting Files, soooooo cute!  It be in the store on friday so make sure to hop on over and pick it up, you will love it!
She went together so quick and easy even with the inking!  I put her on one layer of foam tape and the front wave on one layer of foam tape.  The wave is from the Palm Tree and Waves Tube I just got rid of the score lines and sized them to the size I needed.  The sun and sentiment are stickers.

Hope you have a fun filled summer!  Check out my blog at This and That by Gwen.
